A section of Highway 6 is closed after a tractor-trailer crashed and spilled diesel.
Ontario Provincial Police said the crash happened around 3:30 a.m. near Concession Road 12 East in Freelton.
The northbound tractor-trailer, which was carrying steel, struck a construction barrier blocking the highway. The truck then crossed the roadway and hit another barrier on the opposite side, causing diesel to leak into a nearby ditch.
No injuries were reported, and police said no other vehicles were involved.
Highway 6 is expected to remain fully closed in the area until about 7 p.m. as cleanup and the investigation continue. Police said charges are pending.
