An e-scooter rider was hospitalized Tuesday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Scarborough.
Toronto police were called to Neilson Road and Livonia Place shortly before 10 a.m. following an initial report of a collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.
At the scene, officers determined the person involved was actually riding an e-scooter. The rider was transported by paramedics to a hospital with serious injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The driver involved remained at the scene following the collision.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
