A 46-year-old pilot was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries after a small plane crashed in a wooded area in Clearview Township on Saturday.
Clearview Fire, paramedics and Ontario Provincial Police responded to the scene near Creemore on County Road 9. The aircraft was a two-seater, with the pilot the only person aboard when the crash occurred.
The pilot was able to exit the plane on his own. He was initially taken to a local hospital before being airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre for further treatment. No other injuries were reported.
Transport Canada has been notified and is expected to be involved in the investigation into the crash.
