A 31-year-old man was hospitalized after losing control of an e-scooter in Welland on Sunday evening.
Niagara Regional Police responded to the single-vehicle crash around 6:30 p.m. on Niagara Street near Birch Street. Police say the man was travelling southbound when he lost control and ended up on the east-side sidewalk.
He was transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries. His condition has since improved to stable, and his injuries are no longer considered life-threatening.
Investigators say no other vehicles were involved. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
