A woman in her 80s was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Etobicoke Thursday afternoon.

Toronto police and paramedics responded to the area of Bloor Street West and Kipling Avenue at about 1:15 p.m. following reports of a pedestrian collision.

Paramedics transported the woman to hospital with serious injuries. The driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene, police said.

Investigators are working to determine what led to the collision.
