A Waterloo man has been charged with impaired driving following a single-vehicle crash in Elora.

Wellington County OPP and emergency crews responded to a collision on Middlebrook Road at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Sept. 11. Police said the vehicle struck a guard rail. The driver was taken to hospital as a precaution but was not injured.

Following an investigation, officers charged a 36-year-old Waterloo man with impaired operation. The accused is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on Oct. 23.

OPP are reminding motorists that anyone who suspects a driver is impaired should call 911.
