A driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a dump truck collided with a car in south Ottawa Monday afternoon.
The crash happened around 3:25 p.m. at Bankfield Road and Prince of Wales Drive. Ottawa paramedics said the dump truck struck the passenger side of the car.
The car’s driver was treated at the scene before being transported to hospital in stable condition.
Northbound Prince of Wales Drive was closed at Bankfield Road, while Bankfield was reduced to a single lane with alternating traffic as police directed vehicles around the scene. The affected lanes reopened shortly after 5 p.m.
