A cyclist was hospitalized Tuesday evening following a collision with a vehicle in Barrie.
The crash occurred around 8:15 p.m. on Essa Road, between Burton Avenue and Gowan Street. Barrie police say the 36-year-old man was riding southeast when he was struck by a car.
Emergency crews transported the cyclist to hospital, where he was treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Police closed the section of Essa Road while they examined the scene. The roadway was reopened once the investigation at the scene was completed.
