A 46-year-old Guelph woman has been arrested in connection with an alleged hit-and-run more than a week after the crash.
The collision occurred Sept. 8 at Edinburgh Road North and London Road. Police say an SUV suddenly changed lanes and struck another vehicle before its driver briefly spoke with the other motorist and then left the scene.
Investigators identified the suspect after reviewing security footage and tracing the SUV to Guelph’s west end.
The woman faces charges of failing to remain at the scene of an accident, dangerous driving and driving while prohibited. Police also impounded the SUV for 45 days.
