A woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after falling from an e-scooter on railway tracks in Toronto’s west end Sunday afternoon, police say.
Toronto police responded to a grade-level crossing on Old Weston Road shortly before 1:30 p.m. after receiving reports that a cyclist had been injured.
Paramedics transported the adult woman to a trauma centre in critical condition.
Police have not confirmed whether the woman was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. The scene has since been cleared.
