A woman has died following a house fire in Simcoe on Monday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to a residence on Orchard Avenue around 1 p.m. after a fire was reported. Firefighters entered the home and found a 50-year-old woman inside.
She was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead despite life-saving efforts.
The circumstances surrounding the fire is under investigation.
