A person was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition after being rescued from the Don River in North York on Thursday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the Flemingdon Park area near Eglinton Avenue East and Leslie Street around 7:45 a.m. following reports of someone in the water.
Toronto firefighters removed the individual from the river and provided first aid before the person was transported to hospital.
Toronto police also responded to the scene. The circumstances that led to the person entering the river have not been released.
