A woman suffered serious injuries after being struck by a transport truck in Pickering early Friday.
The incident occurred shortly before 3 a.m. in the Glen Grove area, around Bayly Street and Krosno Boulevard. Police said the woman was walking in the roadway when the truck driver attempted to avoid her, resulting in a collision.
She was taken to hospital with injuries that were considered serious but not life-threatening. The truck driver remained at the scene, and authorities said no charges have been filed.
