A 78-year-old woman was behind the wheel when her vehicle crashed into an optometrist’s office in a Barrie plaza Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the plaza near Ferndale Drive South and Ardagh Road shortly after 11 a.m. after the vehicle struck the storefront.
The collision caused significant damage to the business, including a shattered entrance and broken glass scattered across the floor. The office was later cordoned off while the damage was assessed.
Barrie Fire said no extrication was necessary, and police confirmed that no one was injured. No charges are expected to be laid in connection with the incident.
