A 35-year-old man has died after being struck by a vehicle in Scarborough early Friday morning, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Toronto police were called to the area of Midland Avenue and McNicoll Avenue at around 1:52 a.m. after the pedestrian was found in the southbound lanes of Midland Avenue.
Police say he was struck by a passing vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency crews arrived.
The driver did not remain at the location, and investigators have not yet released any details about the vehicle.
