Ontario’s Ministry of Labour is investigating a workplace fatality at Facca Inc. in Lakeshore after a worker died from injuries sustained in an incident last month.
The ministry said it was notified of the workplace incident on Sept. 18, 2026. Essex County OPP said officers attended the scene at approximately 3:17 p.m. to assist with a workplace injury, and the injured man was transported to hospital by emergency medical services.
A ministry inspector subsequently attended the site as part of the investigation. Several weeks later, the ministry was informed that the worker had succumbed to his injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the incident have not been disclosed. The investigation remains ongoing.
