One person has died and two others were injured following a two-vehicle collision in Vaughan on Sunday evening.
Police responded to a crash near Jane Street and Brandon Gate Drive at approximately 7:40 p.m. The collision involved a yellow vintage sports coupe carrying two people and a black SUV with three occupants.
A 34-year-old man from Stoney Creek, who was travelling as a passenger in the coupe, died at the scene despite efforts by first responders. The coupe’s driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
All three people in the SUV were also transported to a trauma centre. One passenger remains in life-threatening condition, while the other two occupants suffered serious injuries.
Investigators have not yet determined what led to the crash and are seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or its events leading up to it.
