A 13-year-old boy was taken to hospital after crashing an e-scooter into a neighbour’s car in Guelph’s west end on Friday afternoon. Police say the boy, who was riding his older brother’s scooter around 1 p.m., lost control, struck the vehicle, and fell, suffering facial injuries.

The car sustained minor damage. Authorities noted that Guelph’s e-scooter bylaw requires riders to be at least 16 years old and to wear a helmet if under 18.
