Waterloo regional police are investigating a hit-and-run in New Hamburg that injured a 13-year-old pedestrian Wednesday evening. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. when a white vehicle, turning from Huron Street onto Union Street, struck the teen and then fled the scene. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a white sedan or SUV with possible front-end or side-mirror damage. Police are asking anyone with information or who spots a vehicle matching this description to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
