A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized on Saturday after being struck by a vehicle while riding a battery-operated scooter in Kanata. Ottawa paramedics responded to the scene near Maxwell Bridge and March Road shortly after 9 p.m.
The boy was hit by a vehicle making a turn. He was transported to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) with serious, though non-life-threatening, injuries.
Ottawa police have stated that no charges have been filed at this time as the investigation continues.
