Police are investigating a hit-and-run that left a 14-year-old cyclist injured in Ashfield Colborne Wawanosh Township on the night of October 15. Just after 8 p.m., Huron County OPP responded to the scene on Bluewater Highway, north of Airport Road, where a northbound vehicle had struck the teen and fled at high speed.
The cyclist was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators recovered a dark grey passenger-side mirror at the scene, believed to be from a 2011 or 2012 model vehicle.
Authorities are asking witnesses or anyone with information to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.
