A 15-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital after crashing his dirt bike on the way to school Wednesday morning, according to Ontario Provincial Police.
Police said the boy’s parents discovered him on the K&P Trail near Ashdad Road and called for help around 8:45 a.m. Renfrew County Paramedics were first on the scene and quickly transported the boy to an Ornge air ambulance. His injuries were described as serious, but not life-threatening.
The OPP confirmed that the boy had been riding alone and that no other vehicles were involved in the crash. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
The investigation is ongoing, but no further details have been released.
