Five months after a fatal collision in St. Thomas, Ontario Provincial Police have laid a charge against a 17-year-old driver in connection with the incident.

The crash occurred around midday on November 14, 2025, at the intersection of Quaker Road and Southdale Line, involving a sedan and a grain truck. Emergency crews transported a 17-year-old passenger, Hadley Denison, to hospital with critical injuries. She was declared brain dead three days later, and her family fulfilled her wish to donate her organs.

Following the investigation, police have charged the teen driver of the sedan with careless driving causing death under the Highway Traffic Act. The accused cannot be identified due to protections under youth justice legislation.
