The collision happened around 4 a.m. on January 10, 2026, along Dundas Street West. When officers arrived, they discovered a vehicle had gone through a fence and struck the patio of a nearby home.

Following their investigation, police arrested the driver and laid several charges, including impaired operation by alcohol, having a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit, and violating novice driver alcohol restrictions.

The vehicle was seized, and the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days. The accused was later released and is scheduled to appear in provincial court on January 27, 2026. Damage was reported to both the fence and the residential patio.
