Lambton County OPP say a 20-year-old person has died after a single-vehicle crash in Corunna.
Emergency crews were called to Bentinck Street around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday after a car left the roadway and hit a tree. Police say the driver, a 20-year-old from Corunna, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bentinck Street remains closed between Cameron Street and Moore Street and is expected to stay shut for several hours Thursday while investigators examine the scene. The investigation is being led by Lambton OPP with support from the OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage from the area at the time to contact OPP.
