Highway 17 in Wahnapitae has reopened following a fatal collision involving a motorcycle and pickup truck Thursday evening.
The crash occurred shortly after 7 p.m. between Glenbower Crescent and Bank Street. The 20-year-old motorcycle rider from Wahnapitae was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries but later died.
Ontario Provincial Police closed the highway for about six hours while investigators examined the scene. The cause of the collision has not been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
