A 20-year-old motorcyclist was transported to a trauma centre following a collision with a car in Mississauga on Friday afternoon.
Emergency crews responded to the crash near Airport Road and Highway 409 at approximately 2:37 p.m. The rider initially suffered injuries believed to be life-threatening but was later reported to be in stable condition.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Police have not yet determined what caused the collision. As a result of the investigation, northbound Airport Road near Highway 409 was closed, and motorists were advised to avoid the area.
The investigation remains ongoing.
