A 22-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Ancaster on Saturday morning, Hamilton police say.
The crash occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Wilson Street near Trinity Road after a westbound Hyundai crossed into the opposite lane and collided with an eastbound Cadillac. Police said both vehicles caught fire following the impact.
The driver of the Hyundai was pronounced dead at the scene. The 51-year-old woman driving the Cadillac was taken to hospital with injuries and later released.
Wilson Street was closed in both directions between Trinity Road and Alberton Road for several hours while investigators examined the scene. Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
