A 23-year-old man from Hamilton faces charges of impaired and dangerous driving after crashing into a parked Tesla in Guelph on Tuesday night. The accident occurred around 9 p.m. at Bristol Street and Yorkshire Street South, where the collision pushed the Tesla into a utility pole, causing significant damage to both vehicles.
When officers arrived, they found several empty and unopened beer cans and detected alcohol on the driver’s breath. He was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, where tests revealed his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit. As a result, his driver’s license was suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
