A 23-year-old woman from Walden is facing several charges after allegedly colliding with a police cruiser in Caledon.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police, officers were patrolling near Mayfield Road and Ace Drive on Saturday when they witnessed an altercation involving a vehicle. One individual left the scene in the vehicle, prompting police to search for the driver.
Officers located the vehicle, but the driver allegedly attempted to flee again, resulting in minor damage to a police cruiser.
The woman was arrested and charged with impaired operation involving alcohol, two counts of dangerous driving, motor vehicle theft, assault and resisting a peace officer.
