A 24-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Wellesley Township early Sunday morning.
Waterloo Regional Police say emergency services were called to Weimar Line near Maplewood Drive at around 3:05 a.m. after the vehicle left the roadway and caught fire. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Weimar Line, between Moser Young Road and Maplewood Drive, was closed for about 10 hours while police conducted their investigation. The Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Traffic Services Unit is leading the ongoing investigation.
