A 24-year-old woman has died after being struck by a vehicle in Scarborough on Friday afternoon. Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Steeles Avenue East and Midland Avenue around 5 p.m. When they arrived, they performed life-saving measures, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 59-year-old man, stayed at the scene and has been cooperating with the investigation. Police expressed their condolences, calling the incident “incredibly heartbreaking,” and emphasized that their traffic services unit is working to gather all the details.
