A 25-year-old man from Azilda has been charged with multiple offenses, including impaired driving, after crashing his pickup truck into trash cans and damaging a house and fence on Federal Street in Kirkland Lake on August 12.

Police received a complaint about the incident around 10:45 p.m., and although the driver initially failed to stop for emergency lights, he was later pulled over on Goodfish Road. Officers determined he had been drinking, leading to his arrest.

In addition to impaired driving, he faces charges of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving with cannabis available, and leaving the scene of an accident. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 18.
