A 26-year-old man from Petrolia has died following a collision between a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle near Sarnia on Sunday night.
Police were called to Plank Road, east of Kimball Side Road, at approximately 9:15 p.m. after reports of a serious crash.
Investigators say the motorcycle was travelling eastbound when it collided with a westbound car on the same roadway. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
A collision reconstruction specialist from the Sarnia Police Traffic Services Unit assisted with the investigation. The road was closed overnight while officers examined the scene and has since reopened.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing, and it has not yet been determined whether charges will be laid.
