A 27-year-old woman is in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Brampton on Monday evening. The incident occurred just before 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Steeles Avenue East and Orchard Drive.
Peel Paramedics reported that the woman sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries to her lower extremities and was taken to a nearby hospital. The driver stayed at the scene, and the westbound lanes of Steeles Avenue were closed at Kennedy Road South for investigation.
