A 28-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck while riding an e-bike in downtown Toronto early Friday morning. The collision occurred just after 6:30 a.m. at Church Street and Gerrard Street.
The 57-year-old male driver of a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck remained at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging local residents, businesses, and drivers with security or dashcam footage of the area or incident to come forward and assist investigators.
Update – In an update on August 7th, police confirms that the e-bike rider has passed away from his injuries on July 31st.
