A crash along Highway 11 near North Bay has led to charges against a 29-year-old driver from Bracebridge.
Ontario Provincial Police say the incident happened around 10 p.m. on March 18 in East Ferris, when a vehicle struck a guardrail before leaving the roadway and descending an embankment. Officers were able to locate the driver and the damaged vehicle shortly after receiving multiple reports. No serious injuries were reported.
During the investigation, police determined the driver had consumed alcohol. A roadside screening produced an “alert” result, triggering an automatic seven-day licence suspension. The driver has also been charged with careless driving.
