A three-year-old girl has died after being struck by a vehicle in Cambridge on Thursday afternoon, while another pedestrian was seriously injured. The collision occurred shortly before 1:00 p.m. on Cedar Street near Westgate Plaza.
Both victims were taken to hospital; the child later succumbed to her injuries, and a 31-year-old woman remains in serious but non-life-threatening condition. The driver, a 75-year-old Cambridge man, was uninjured.
Waterloo Regional Police’s Traffic Services Unit is continuing to investigate the fatal incident, and Cedar Street remains closed in the area.
