A 30-year-old Ontario man has died after falling from a cliff in the Osprey Heights area of Clearview Township on Friday afternoon.
Ontario Provincial Police said emergency crews responded to reports of a person who had fallen a considerable distance from a cliff near the west end of Osprey Heights Road, close to Collingwood, shortly after 3 p.m.
Despite life-saving efforts at the scene, the man was pronounced dead.
Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident, though police have indicated there are no signs of criminal involvement.
Authorities are urging outdoor enthusiasts to remain cautious around cliffs, steep slopes, and uneven terrain. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is encouraged to contact the Huronia West OPP detachment.
