Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash near Courtland.

Emergency crews were called to Highway 3 just after 7 p.m. Wednesday after reports that a sedan had left the roadway. Police say the driver, a 36-year-old from Norfolk County, suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The stretch of Highway 3 between Goshen Road and Plowman’s Line was closed for several hours while investigators examined the scene but has since reopened to traffic.

OPP are asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash or who may have information relevant to the investigation to contact Norfolk County OPP.
