A 39-year-old woman from Arnprior died Wednesday night after her SUV struck several loose horses on Highway 132, west of Renfrew.
Emergency crews responded to the crash around 9:30 p.m. near Hass Road. Police say three horses were also killed in the collision. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and no other vehicles were involved.
The OPP continue to investigate the incident. The highway was reopened by Thursday morning.
