A 40-year-old Guelph man is facing multiple charges after police say he struck a parked vehicle in the city’s east end Saturday night.

Police received a report from a witness around 9:15 p.m. Officers later located the driver and said they believed he was impaired by drugs. He was taken to a police station, where a drug recognition expert conducted an evaluation.

Police also allege that officers found suspected fentanyl and cocaine, drug paraphernalia and a passport that had reportedly been stolen in March 2025.

The man faces charges including impaired and dangerous driving, possession of stolen property under $5,000, two counts of possessing a controlled substance, driving without insurance and driving with an invalid permit.
