A 43-year-old Rockwood man is facing multiple charges after allegedly driving a vehicle into a home in Bourget.
Police were called to the scene around 8:30 a.m. Saturday, where the driver had already fled. No one was hurt, but fire officials ruled the damaged house unsafe to occupy.
With assistance from a canine unit, officers located and arrested the suspect. He now faces several charges, including possessing stolen property, mischief, breaching release conditions, careless driving, driving while suspended, and possession of a Schedule I drug.
He is scheduled to appear in court in L’Orignal early next year.
