A serious collision between a motorcycle and an SUV occurred Monday afternoon in Chatham-Kent, leaving one person with significant injuries.
Police say emergency crews responded around 2:50 p.m. to Queen’s Line, between Drake Road and Dillon Road. The motorcyclist, a 49-year-old man from Raleigh Township, was initially taken to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and later airlifted to London Health Sciences Centre’s Victoria Hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
The SUV driver, a 40-year-old woman from Merlin, was checked at the scene but did not require hospitalization.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash and are asking anyone with relevant information to come forward.
