A 50-year-old Lanark County man was killed in a snowmobile crash early Saturday morning in Beckwith Township, east of Franktown. Ontario Provincial Police say officers were called to the area near Brunton Sideroad around 4:30 a.m. after the snowmobile struck a parked trailer on private property.
The rider sustained critical injuries and was discovered by a member of the property owner’s family, who attempted life-saving measures before emergency crews arrived. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released additional details about the incident.
