A 54-year-old motorcyclist was seriously hurt after a collision with a car in Milton on Sunday afternoon, according to Halton Regional Police Service.

Police responded to the crash scene on Twiss Road north of Derry Road at approximately 3:40 p.m. Investigators say the incident involved a motorcycle travelling northbound and a Honda sedan driven southbound by a 17-year-old male.

Authorities believe both vehicles were moving through a sharp bend in the road when the head-on collision occurred.

The motorcyclist was taken to Hamilton General Hospital with serious injuries.

Because the crash happened in a relatively isolated area, officials said traffic impacts were minimal.
