A 61-year-old woman was seriously injured after being hit by a school bus on the Burlington Skyway around midnight.
According to OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt, the woman’s vehicle had broken down in an active traffic lane. She had gotten out and was standing beside the concrete barrier when a school bus collided with both her car and her.
She was taken to hospital with serious injuries. None of the 36 students, three teachers, or the bus driver were hurt.
Three right lanes were closed for the investigation early Thursday but have since reopened.
