A collision in Elmira Sunday evening sent one driver to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Waterloo Regional Police say emergency crews were called around 8:37 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash involving a Kia and a Toyota at the intersection of Arthur Street South and Whippoorwill Drive. The Toyota’s driver, a 62-year-old woman from Hamilton, was transported to hospital, while the Kia’s driver, a 49-year-old Elmira man, was uninjured.

Investigators partially closed the intersection for several hours as they examined the scene. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to contact them.
