A 63-year-old motorcyclist has died following a two-vehicle collision in south Barrie on Friday afternoon.
Barrie Police Service responded to the crash at Big Bay Point Road and Hurst Drive around 4:15 p.m., where a motorcycle collided with a car. The driver of the car remained at the scene and was not seriously injured.
Bystanders provided immediate first aid before emergency crews arrived, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Barrie Police Traffic Unit and Forensic Identification Unit are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision. Road closures remain in place in the area while investigators examine the scene.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant information to come forward.
