Emergency crews responded to a serious head-on collision Tuesday morning in Muskoka Lakes that injured seven people, including three children. The crash occurred around 7:45 a.m. on Muskoka Road 118 West near Leonard Lake Road, southeast of Milford Bay.
Paramedics reported that a woman with life-threatening injuries was airlifted to a trauma centre, while two men were taken to a local hospital. Three children were transported for precautionary assessment, and another man declined medical treatment.
Muskoka Road 118 was closed in both directions between Milford Bay and Willow Beach to allow for the investigation and cleanup. Police are still determining the cause of the crash and whether weather conditions contributed to the incident.
